Orange Lake, in Alachua County, Florida, covers
approximately 12,706 acres and has an average depth of 6 ft. Specializing in Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Black Crappie and Redear, the lake has many grass beds and submerged aquatic vegetation. The most productive baits and lures include live wild shiners, purple and black artificial worms and top water float-diving type lures fished around the hydrilla beds.
